Class: Uncommon Grains

This class introduces you to the wonderful world of grains that few people use only because of unfamiliarity. Learn about such versatile, high-protein grains as quinoa, millet, amaranth, and kamut and which one is a complete protein source in and of itself! Also, learn how to cook these grains and how to incorporate them into your meals. Some can even be used as breakfast cereals. This demonstration class features kamut and wild mushroom soup (see photo on Services page) and entrées such as quinoa-and-butternut-squash pie and African groundnut stew (stewed vegetables in a peanut-butter-based sauce) served over millet.
