Kamut and wild mushroom soup
(Kamut is an ancient variety of high-protein
wheat that has never been hybridized.)
Standard personal chef service (how this works): This service provides delicious, everyday meals that are customized to your requests. Whether these meals are typical, everyday fare or more exotic, adventurous options is completely up to you. You may wish to use such a service either for the bulk of your dinners or as supplemental dinners for the days when you don’t have the time or inclination to cook. A standard service is four servings of three to five entrees with appropriate side dishes and is provided monthly, every two weeks, or weekly. The number of servings and the number of menu items per service is modified to meet your needs.
To establish such a service, please contact me at 724-969-0339 or carole@organicpersonalchefpgh.com, and I will arrange for a free in-home interview at a time that is convenient for you and your family. During this interview, I ask you to fill out a food questionnaire which helps me understand your dietary needs/preferences and enables me to provide an approximate cost for your personalized service (see below FAQ regarding the cost of the service). We then establish a date for your first cook day. Prior to that date, I submit a customized menu for your approval and modify it according to your feedback. On your cook day, I shop for the freshest organic ingredients and then cook the approved menu items at your home, using my cooking equipment. I package, label, and store the food items in the refrigerator or freezer, clean the kitchen using eco-friendly cleaning products, and leave reheating instructions plus a proposed menu for the next cook day. I take all trash from this service with me, the vast majority of which I am able to dispose of in an eco-friendly manner (either recycle or place into my compost bin).
You are left with fabulous, healthy, organic meals, a clean kitchen, and a home filled with wonderful aromas!
Ask about purchasing a service as a unique and always-appreciated gift (for the holidays, a baby shower, etc.) for a family member or friend!
Fresh service: This service provides freshly-prepared salads with homemade dressings and/or a variety of delectable baked goods, such as homemade whole-grain breads,
muffins, scones, breakfast/energy bars, sticky buns, and granola. I also make a wide range of baked dessert items, puddings, and homemade ice cream. All are made with the freshest, most health-supportive, organic ingredients.

Dinner parties: This service provides fabulous four-coursemeals that can be as casual or formal and elegant as you wish. A great way to celebrate any special occasion, it’s like bringing a high-class restaurant into your own home! And, for those friends and family members who are difficult to buy for, the gift of a dinner party, for example a romantic dinner for two, is always a welcomed treat.
Interactive dinner parties: This service is for those who want to have a fun party while also getting hands-on experience with health-supportive cooking. I work with the host/hostess to develop a customized menu for the party, based on the type of food you want to eat, the number of guests, and how involved you and your guests want to get in the preparation process. I purchase the groceries for the party and organize work stations in your kitchen, or wherever the party is being held. When the guests arrive, we divide them into groups and assign every group a portion of the dinner to prepare. I teach while you and your guests actually prepare a delicious meal which you then sit down to enjoy. It’s a dinner party and cooking lesson in one!
Cooking classes: I can teach cooking classes on a wide range of subjects and in lecture, demonstration, or hands-on format. Let me know what you, your group of friends, or your organization wants to learn about, and I’ll customize a class for you!
